Allan Miller

Allan has been teaching in Alaska since 1985, and currently leads a self-contained sixth grade classroom on the Kenai Peninsula in Sterling. Since watching Neil Armstrong make his "one small step" as a six-year old, he has been a lifelong fan and follower of the space program. In the 2003/2004 school year he was a finalist for astronaut selection in the NASA Educator Astronaut program. As a MESSENGER fellow, Allan hopes to spread the passion for the exploration of space and help inspire the next generation of explorers--to Mercury and beyond!
