Cassie Doty

Cassie Foster Doty graduated form Wheeling Jesuit College in 1994 with a Bachelor of Science degree in biology. In 1997 she received a Master of Science degree in environmental biology from West Virginia University. She started working at the Center for Educational Technologies®) in 1999. The center is located in Wheeling, WV, on the campus of Wheeling Jesuit University. There Cassie writes online and paper-based environmental science curriculum. She also facilitates teacher professional development workshops related to the various education products created at the center. In addition, Cassie serves as an adjunct professor at Wheeling Jesuit University, teaching environmental geology. Her husband, William, and beagle, Daisy round out her life.

Cassie's work in teacher professional development and the center's function as a NASA Office of Space Science broker-facilitator led to her interest in the MESSENGER program. Her target audience is pre-service and K-12 teachers in West Virginia, Ohio, and Kentucky.
